Back in the day, I used to read a "comic book" called Kabuki. Besides the interesting story line, and fantastic characters, I fell in love with the art. The artist name is David Mack, and he kicks so much ass, I can't even stand it.
Anyway, this is the main character, Kabuki (whose real name is kind of lost to me... I think it was Ukiko Kai). The scars on her face are the kanji for song, dance and action, or the kanji that make up the word 'kabuki' (that is, if my memory is serving me right). They were given to her by her father.
This is dark, and I messed up on the kanji, but I think I didn't do such a bad job, considering I used a mouse.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
